As the owner of an PR agency I spend a lot of time managing people, managing team on accounts, managing clients expectations, managing media’s requirements and managing personalities.
In July 2010 I made a life changing move from bonnie Scotland to the blue skies of Australia. After living in Scotland’s capital city, Edinburgh, for many years, I felt like a big fish in small pond itching to jump out of my safe haven and see the world. So, in a bid to challenge myself professionally and personally, I packed up my (very full) suitcase and headed alone to Sydney – population 4.5 million!
As many of you know, there have been five new additions to the Red PR team in 2011. I am very excited to be one of them and look forward to working with all of our clients and friends of the company.
Coming from the UK Christmas in Australia for me is a very different experience. Apart from stating the obvious that the weather is about 30 degrees hotter, there’s no family here to celebrate the festive season. So last year I decided to take advantage of not having to do the rounds with aunties, uncles, cousins and grandparents and take a Christmas holiday to the pacific island of Vanuatu.
