TANGALOOMA ISLAND RESORT
CASE STUDYChallenge.
Situated on one of the world’s largest sand islands, surrounded by crystal clear waters, white sandy beaches and untouched national parks. The unspoiled splendour of Moreton Island, iconic sunken shipwrecks and wild dolphin feeding make Tangalooma Island Resort a popular holiday destination.
Our goal was to make a splash year round; generating positive editorial exposure by positioning Tangalooma Island Resort as one of Brisbane’s best family-friendly day trips and Australia’s number one destination for unique wildlife encounters. Ultimately, we needed to leverage press to heighten consumer consideration ongoing and drive an increase in bookings.
Solution.
The Red Republic have been Tangalooma Island Resort’s incumbent PR agency since 2015. During this time we executed an always-on press office for the Resort, delivering a constant stream of positive editorial coverage both locally and nationally.
With our annual strategy divided up across a number of key business priorities, activity can vary from whale watching, local day trips, overnight stays and seasonal campaigns, to event / partnership amplification and the launch of any new activities or resort advancements.
Our scope of work includes; creative concept ideation, strategy and ongoing media liaison and engagement – pitching feature stories, content pieces, round-ups, deals, engagement campaigns, famil management and securing reactionary visual opportunities with broadcast media.
Since commencing work with Tangalooma Island Resort, we have achieved coverage across all major Australian travel publications (print / online / broadcast), with a total reach of 122 million.
