But, what about the other bloggers out there on social media – do we give them as much recognition and credit?
Spurred on after uncovering a great blog over the weekend, All Men Are Liars, I decided to ask the girls of Red PR and Blue by Red PR to tell me their favourite current light-hearted reads keeping them square-eyed in front of the computer this month.
Red PR’s Top Blogs worth checking out this November:
Great blog in the Executive Style section of the Sydney Morning Herald online. This writer, Sam De Brito, discusses everything from commitment-phobe men to a woman’s ability to forget her age at opportune moments. Very funny!
If the disappearance of Masterchef has left you uninspired in the kitchen, Not Quite Nigella is the perfect remedy. The blog gives readers everything from restaurant reviews to recipes for Babushka cupcakes and even talks you through how to throw a True Blood dinner party – fangtastic! Plenty of inspiration to keep you busy in the kitchen!
Red PR Account Manager Alix Hardy recommended this blog, which talks about blogger Gab’s experiences in the Big Apple. A great example of how humour can come from even the most day to day events and experiences.
I absolutely love Hello Giggles, a new blog set up by actress and musician Zooey Deschanel, Producer Sophia Rossi and writer Molly McAleer. Offering beauty tips, anecdotal stories, rants, raves and reviews alongside a huge dose of humour, it’s the go-to blog for ladies looking for some lighthearted relief on the web. Check out my current favourite post: Dear Ryan Gosling
MAmAMia’s appeal comes down to its ability to mix the fluff with the hard hitting issues. Whether you’re in search of celebrity gossip, or insight into current political issues affecting our country, MAmAMia covers it all.
Cool Hunter by name, cool hunter by nature! The blog uses a network of trendspotters all around the globe, reporting back on the world’s coolest happenings in design, architecture, fashion, music, food, art …the list goes on. If your credit card’s holding you back from travelling, look no further than this website for a snapshot of all the wonders of the world.
Fleur’s favourite is Absolutely Beautiful Things by interior designer Anna Spiro – the feminine colours, interiors of stunning homes all over the world, home styling and accessories are amazing and Anna knows how to put it all together in such a glamorous and eclectic way.
At both Red PR in Brisbane and Blue by Red PR in Sydney we’re always on the lookout for interesting, funny and/or thought-provoking blogs and so if you uncover any amazing web pages, we’d love to hear about them!
So, expand your blog repertoire and take a look at the wealth of talented bloggers out there.
Looked through the blogs mentioned and particularly liked IT’S A BIG, WEIRD WORLD. Obviously written by someone with a keen sense of humour about the real aspects of day-to-day life ……….. an Ozzy’s perspective of life in the BigApple – refreshing. Keep up the good work guys.
