The Little Mermaid, fireworks, PT sessions, live music, Captain Jack Sparrow, bustling market stalls and a five kilometre fun run… all in a day’s work.

Saturday January 25, was a busy day for The Red Republic; the launch of the Yarrabilba Super Park, the third community event The Red Republic organised for client Lend Lease was one for the entire family.

Lend Lease wanted to create community engagement events to involve the broader Lend Lease communities. The events would provide an opportunity for new and old neighbours to mingle and meet, whilst using the beautiful facilities of the Lend Lease park lands.

With a fitness themed morning, the seven AM start was not for the faint hearted. Eager participants lined up for a five kilometre walk, run or roll around the park and its beautiful surrounds.
Personal training, group stretching station and basketball coaching session followed shortly after. Members from the Brisbane Heat dropped in to show off their cricket skills and the breakfast market stalls buzzed with early morning customers… coffee, Dutch pancakes and roesti’s a favourite amongst the early crowd.

When the night time fireworks signalled the closing of the Yarrabilba Super Park launch event, it was clear a great day had been shared by all. The family fun day out was the first of many for the Lend Lease communities to share together, and another successful event hosted by The Red Republic.
