Between all the deadlines, stress and responsibilities of everyday life, inner peace may seem almost impossible to achieve. The struggle to maintain one’s inner peace and avoid burnout has become a standard ingredient of the modern working life, but what if there was a way of living that could embrace, enjoy and handle the tough of everyday, rather than looking for ways to escape it.?
Well, there is! We’ve polled the office to find out what 10 tactics we all live by in order to keep our spirits high and smiles wide each and every day. So, I introduce to you: The Publicists Guide to Inner Peace.’
1. Celebrate every win! No matter how big or small it may be.
2. Live in the moment and don’t compare yourself to others.
3. Exercise, exercise, exercise. There really is no better cure for your mental state.
4. Meditation. Try mini meditation sessions a couple of times a day to regulate your breathing. Spend one minute taking deep breaths and feel the stresses floating away.
5. Drink water, and lots of it! Start by downing 2 full glasses of water in the morning when you first wake up. It’s exactly what your body needs to kick start the day!
6. Get outside! There really is no better way to clear your mind than to leave your desk and go for a walk outside.
7. Music… Whether you’re all about RnB or prefer the soothing sounds of the ocean, put your earphones on enter your own zone.
8. Laugh as often as possible! No matter how bad it seems, a good laugh is sometimes all you need.
9. Change up your routine and don’t get stuck living a life of habit.
10. Most importantly always remember it’s PR, not ER.
