Know who’s really boss
We are in business to service client’s needs, and you can only do that if you know what it is they truly want. Never forget that it’s the client that pays your salary and that they can jepordise your role by simply taking their money elsewhere.
Listen. And listen some more.
When you truly listen to your customers, they let you know what they want and how you can provide good service. Do you know what three things are most important to your client?
Anticipate needs
Learn what the customer wants/needs before they tell you – it will truly impress them. The more you know and communicate with your customers, the better you become at anticipating their needs.
Give more than expected
Since the future of all companies lies in keeping customers happy, think of ways to elevate yourself above the competition. What can you give your client that they cant get elsewhere? What small extra touch can you add?
Be a brand ambassador
Clients love it when you (genuinely) believe in their brand as much as they do. Be enthusiastic about the work that you’re doing, keep updated on their news and congratulate them when something awesome happens.
Make an appearance
Nothing beats face-to-face contact with your customer. Ensure that you create regular opportunities to meet your client in person and build a great rapport.
Celebrate good times (come on)
Take time to inform your client of your wins for them on a weekly basis. Be your own biggest cheerleader. No achievement is too little and it will remind your client why they can’t live without you!
